### Introduction (5 minutes)

2. **Discussion**: Ask the students, "Why do you think it is important to wash our hands?" Write their responses on a whiteboard.
3. **Introduce Topic**: Explain that today, we will learn about how to wash our hands properly to keep ourselves healthy and clean.
### Activity 1: Story Time (5 minutes)
1. **Read a Book/Show a Video**: Read a children’s book about hand washing or show a short, age-appropriate video explaining the importance of hand washing.

### Activity 2: Hand Washing Demonstration (10 minutes)
1. **Glitter/Germ Simulation**: Put a small amount of glitter or washable paint on a few students' hands to simulate germs. Have them touch objects or each other to show how germs spread.
2. **Demonstration**: Move to the sink and demonstrate the proper hand washing steps:
- Wet hands with water.
- Apply soap.
- Scrub all parts of the hands: palms, back of hands, between fingers, under nails, and wrists.
- Rinse hands thoroughly with water.
- Dry hands with a paper towel.
3. **Hand Washing Steps**: Use visual aids or posters showing each step of hand washing.
### Activity 3: Practice (5 minutes)
1. **Sing a Song**: Teach them a hand washing song (e.g., to the tune of "Row, Row, Row Your Boat") to make the process fun and ensure they wash for at least 20 seconds.
